Truth & lies

These days, it’s difficult to tell them apart.

I’ve been hearing so many versions of a particular tale, all I can do is shake my head and laugh at all the silliness. *sighs*

INTEGRITY is such a big word; I have the urge to bold and capitalize the word every time I type it. Unfortunately, not many people have a respect for it despite their preaching about it every other day. I always say “it is human nature” but it is a shame that we, civilized and intelligent people, are unable to do the simplest thing no?

Yes, I am the kettle calling the pot black. *head hangs in shame*

When things did not go as planned, is that human error or is there a greater power that controls everything that is happening? I can handle scolding that I deserve but when I just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time or when the universe is playing one of its jokes on me, I wish I could turn into Incredible Hulk and do some damages.

Why Incredible Hulk? Who knows, he’s the only thing I could think of after 14 hours straight in the office. I so want to photoshop my head on the Incredible Hulk body but that won’t be pretty and may even be too much to handle for some people.

last week...

Many things are happening at once.

Am I drowning in all this madness? Am I surviving gracefully? I couldn’t tell myself.

Let’s see what happens when I come back from my trip.

You know; if I am still doing what I am supposed to be doing.

My son participated the 7K Run. He ran half way and the other half he cling on to my sister’s back. I was worried they will never make it. I waited at the finishing line and it felt like forever. I was so tempted to call my sister but I know it will only piss her off especially when she has to pick up the call with my son on her back. So I waited and waited.

Finally I saw two familiar figures from far. *claps hand*

at the finishing line

During the Post Run concert, he had a show of his own

Though he was drenched, he was in good spirits and enjoyed himself during the Post Run Concert. He even stayed up late and was still very hyper around midnight.

The next morning, after he woke up, he stood up; his legs started shaking and fell on his butt. Kesian him. He complained that his legs hurt and demanded to be carried around. Call me mean, but I made him walk. Slowly. Every step he takes comes with an “Ooww”. I asked him if he wants to run again, he told me it was still too early for a run. Hee.

I’m sure next year he would want to run/carried around the Run again.

Saturday talk

When people say it’s a charity event, it means the money collected will be given to the appointed beneficiaries. Everyone knows that kan? I am sure they do but there are those people who have no shame whatsoever. *tsk tsk tsk*

You know it’s a charity show and yet you still want to take advantage of the organizer by demanding unnecessary things like I don’t know…. high performance fee, business class flight, suite rooms, unnecessary entourage, lobsters, shark fins, etc. Then you want us express our gratitude for your compassion and support in contributing back to the society. *rolls eyes*

Like hello?

It is sad to hear how some people go over their head with their new found fame. Despite the bigger head size, they tend to be very forgetful. They forget their manners, they forget their roots and they forget their humility. *whistles*

Lets not forget those who are OVERLY status/protocol conscious. What’s the big deal?
Btw, don’t confuse yourself with protocol or good manners. It is a totally different thing.

Maybe it’s just one of my crazy thinking but we need to see beyond the excessive façade. Underneath it all we are all the same. Why don’t we just get along and have some fun?
