i wish it is saturday already

It’s like me teaching a bunch of 10 year olds Physics.

Yes, I am exaggerating but if you were there, you would think exactly the same thing.

Why are men so “dramatic” when in crisis?

I watched three grown men debating and arguing about a problem that in my opinion is not a big issue. Each man tried to outshine each other with a solution that will never work and left the discussion unresolved like usual.

However, when there is a REAL situation, nobody wants to get involved.

Why do men ALWAYS do that?

*tsk tsk tsk*

I know I complain and whine about a lot of things. People told me to say it out loud. “Do not be afraid” they said. If it’s that simple, life would be so much easier not only for me but for everyone else. You see, I know bringing it up will NEVER solve any problem. So I keep my mouth shut and my only channel of relieve is to bitch about it over coffee or alcohol, depending on the position of the moon.

Today, I was pushed to the edge. I was pissed. Big time. I’ve told them what I think the first time and obviously it didn’t go through their head. He repeatedly questioned me about what I think and what I want. So I told him (almost) everything. My grievances. My frustration. The outcome? It was A BLOODY WASTE OF TIME. Instead of empathy I was given the “You think you got it bad? I got it worse” speech.

Didn’t I make myself clear or is he simply refusing to listen to what I have to say? Towards the end of the meeting, I wanted to laugh myself silly for believing things could change. Shame on me for being so “naïve”.

Oh well, one can hope right?

back to reality

Going back to the office after a long break has always been a drag for me but this time the “I don’t want to go back to the office” struggle is 10x the usual size and I am fighting very hard to stay awake and finish off my work.

I sometimes don’t understand why some people are willing to torture themselves going shopping. All the walking and the shoving (shoppers are dangerous species especially during SALEs period) can be torturous if not hazardous. I dragged my sorry arse and my poor son around KL the past five days and though I am happy with my purchases, I wish I found my perfect working shoe and perfect black pants. I did actually but it was WAY my budget. *sighs* Yes, shopping can be fun (while you’re at it and you have like tonnes of money) but the post-shopping is painful.

My plan to rejuvenate myself physically and mentally plus replenishing my patience supply went down the drain.

I shall spare you the shopping detail because it involves a lot of walking and putting on shoes/blouses that doesn’t fit. But seriously, why is it so damn difficult to find a nice sized 9 – 10 working shoes? It seems that my feet “grew” bigger. I swear this is the truth. I used to wear size 8 – 9 and already I was having a hard time looking for shoes. Did they make the shoes smaller? Or did my feet really gained weight?

By the way, is it just me or did the Now Everyone Can Fly airlines increased their checked-in luggage from RM5 to RM10 without notice? When I checked in the other day, I was surprised when E***** (counter 3*) told me I have to pay RM10 for each luggage. I looked at her questioningly and asked her when was this new price was implemented. She casually said last week. I asked her again if it was announced in the newspaper or any where because I never heard of this new pricing. She didn’t even have the courtesy to look me in the face and she just shrugged her shoulders. Boleh?

If I weren’t sane or sensible I would have jumped over the counter and slap her silly.

I’m not pissed off about the money. It is that woman. She didn’t even bother to apologize for the inconvenience. I know it is not her fault but isn’t it the rule of thumb of customer service to be empathic and professional? She is one of the many bad customer services I’ve experienced with that airline. I guess with the lower air fare they can only hire this sort of people.

When you pay peanuts, you’ll get monkeys.

How true.

Truth & lies

These days, it’s difficult to tell them apart.

I’ve been hearing so many versions of a particular tale, all I can do is shake my head and laugh at all the silliness. *sighs*

INTEGRITY is such a big word; I have the urge to bold and capitalize the word every time I type it. Unfortunately, not many people have a respect for it despite their preaching about it every other day. I always say “it is human nature” but it is a shame that we, civilized and intelligent people, are unable to do the simplest thing no?

Yes, I am the kettle calling the pot black. *head hangs in shame*

When things did not go as planned, is that human error or is there a greater power that controls everything that is happening? I can handle scolding that I deserve but when I just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time or when the universe is playing one of its jokes on me, I wish I could turn into Incredible Hulk and do some damages.

Why Incredible Hulk? Who knows, he’s the only thing I could think of after 14 hours straight in the office. I so want to photoshop my head on the Incredible Hulk body but that won’t be pretty and may even be too much to handle for some people.

last week...

Many things are happening at once.

Am I drowning in all this madness? Am I surviving gracefully? I couldn’t tell myself.

Let’s see what happens when I come back from my trip.

You know; if I am still doing what I am supposed to be doing.

My son participated the 7K Run. He ran half way and the other half he cling on to my sister’s back. I was worried they will never make it. I waited at the finishing line and it felt like forever. I was so tempted to call my sister but I know it will only piss her off especially when she has to pick up the call with my son on her back. So I waited and waited.

Ekiel during the run

Finally I saw two familiar figures from far. *claps hand*

at the finishing line

During the Post Run concert, he had a show of his own

Though he was drenched, he was in good spirits and enjoyed himself during the Post Run Concert. He even stayed up late and was still very hyper around midnight.

The next morning, after he woke up, he stood up; his legs started shaking and fell on his butt. Kesian him. He complained that his legs hurt and demanded to be carried around. Call me mean, but I made him walk. Slowly. Every step he takes comes with an “Ooww”. I asked him if he wants to run again, he told me it was still too early for a run. Hee.

I’m sure next year he would want to run/carried around the Run again.
