big foot

Who wants to pay for my feet plastic surgery?

See, I love my feet. Despite the depending on weather size 8/9/10, they never fail to carry me through good and bad times despite the constant shoving into a much-too-tight-but-it-looks-so-sexy heels.

However, since the demise of my favorite/perfect working shoe, I never found the perfect pair again. Every pair of shoe that I like is either too small or too tight. The problem is not the length of my feet it’s the metatarsus <- had to google for this info! (or what I call the width of my foot) *sobs uncontrollably.

Life is so freakin’ unfair.
I can handle the bad hair, or the embarrassing weight gain or even my “panda-eyes”. When it comes to my feet, I take it very personally. I know I sound like a mad woman, but when you’re in my shoes, you’ll weep like a baby too. *sighs*

When will Jimmy Choo design shoes for people like me?

It seems my blog setting has gone cuckoo again. It’s so weird how at this very moment, everything in my life is messed up. EVERYTHING. I wish I could just stop time so I could stop and think what I need to be thinking/feeling/doing. This is just one of those days huh?

Last night, I watched the Russian woman pole vaulting champion, Yelena Isinbayeva, broke her own world record during the Olympics. When she failed her first two attempts, my family rooted for her. Honestly, my heart was beating so fast, I couldn’t bear to watch her final attempt.

But as she glides across the pole, the whole world (okay, the whole stadium and everyone else watching it on TV but you get what I mean) cheered for her. Then it hit me. The WHOLE WORLD, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, color, shape, etc, cheered for her together as one.

I imagine when the whole world finally learned to accept each other differences, it would feel exactly like that moment. That natural high of joy and contentment.

think before you speak

Today is the beginning of another long battle that leads to unnecessary headaches and frustration in my so-called career. * bangs head on keyboard*

I was told it would be a 50-50 thing but knowing these people, I have better chances of eloping with the The Broken Japanese Anime Hero to an exotic land far far away. *evil laugh*

Just now I was told it’s a whole new game but of course, there is no black and white to this arrangement either and the odds of these people change their mind is sky high. Why can’t these people decide what they want? Ikut suka hati bapak dorang saja dorang ni (every decision is made according to their fancy and whims).

What does “hacked” means?

In a security context, a hacker is someone involved in computer security/insecurity, specializing in the discovery of exploits in systems (for exploitation or prevention), or in obtaining or preventing unauthorized access to systems through skills, tactics and detailed knowledge.

So when someone told me, “Our system got hacked. He got our password so he goes in and messed with it” I gave him the “heh?” look.

When someone was given the password out of trust (work related), and he uses it to go into the system and mess with it, is it considered as hacking? I’d call it sabotage. *raises right eyebrow* I wonder if these people really understand what they are saying sometimes.

My point is all these assumptions and accusations can be ridiculous.

Many times, we rush into making a decision or forming an opinion.

Like the 90:10 petition.

Read about it at KlubbKidd Blogdrive or Mr Manager, my daily doses of coffee and source of entertainment news.

What is my take on the issue?

Honestly? It’s ridiculous.

I mean, I am all out when it comes to giving the local music artist a FAIR CHANCE in the industry but to control it like that? Why are we penalizing talented people who understand what the music industry demands? It is not their fault if some people are not able to produce what we, listeners, like to hear.

I am no professional but do you really think to restrict the music as such would rescue our local music industry? The only time I listen to the radio is when I am in the car, otherwise I’d be singing along to my MP3s. With the so many radio stations, what made them think that no one would switch the station whenever another not-so-popular local song is on? Even my three-year old son knows how to change the station kay.

With technology, they can even ban the foreign music if they want to but we surely will still find ways to get our hands on them. Then what? Ban the Internet as well?

This not-thinking-it-through attitude will only create more problems. Trust you me. Why can’t they (the music industry and some people whom I’d like to kick some senses into) tackle the problem instead of finding idiotic solutions and pointing fingers?

Again, one of life’s little mystery.

Ekiel's KL adventure

He's so happy I let him have an ice cream cone all to himself. Unfortunately he started coughing and my mom is blaming me for it. :(

I have no idea what he is doing.

He fell asleep in the trolley and people actually point and stare at my tired boy

Holding on to his dear life in the LRT

I've lost count the times we had to stop for him to ride of of these things

He was eyeing on this for so long but I've never gave in. Hehehe. Cheapskate kan me? Well I finally gave in and he couldn't stop talking about it until now

i wish it is saturday already

It’s like me teaching a bunch of 10 year olds Physics.

Yes, I am exaggerating but if you were there, you would think exactly the same thing.

Why are men so “dramatic” when in crisis?

I watched three grown men debating and arguing about a problem that in my opinion is not a big issue. Each man tried to outshine each other with a solution that will never work and left the discussion unresolved like usual.

However, when there is a REAL situation, nobody wants to get involved.

Why do men ALWAYS do that?

*tsk tsk tsk*

I know I complain and whine about a lot of things. People told me to say it out loud. “Do not be afraid” they said. If it’s that simple, life would be so much easier not only for me but for everyone else. You see, I know bringing it up will NEVER solve any problem. So I keep my mouth shut and my only channel of relieve is to bitch about it over coffee or alcohol, depending on the position of the moon.

Today, I was pushed to the edge. I was pissed. Big time. I’ve told them what I think the first time and obviously it didn’t go through their head. He repeatedly questioned me about what I think and what I want. So I told him (almost) everything. My grievances. My frustration. The outcome? It was A BLOODY WASTE OF TIME. Instead of empathy I was given the “You think you got it bad? I got it worse” speech.

Didn’t I make myself clear or is he simply refusing to listen to what I have to say? Towards the end of the meeting, I wanted to laugh myself silly for believing things could change. Shame on me for being so “naïve”.

Oh well, one can hope right?

back to reality

Going back to the office after a long break has always been a drag for me but this time the “I don’t want to go back to the office” struggle is 10x the usual size and I am fighting very hard to stay awake and finish off my work.

I sometimes don’t understand why some people are willing to torture themselves going shopping. All the walking and the shoving (shoppers are dangerous species especially during SALEs period) can be torturous if not hazardous. I dragged my sorry arse and my poor son around KL the past five days and though I am happy with my purchases, I wish I found my perfect working shoe and perfect black pants. I did actually but it was WAY my budget. *sighs* Yes, shopping can be fun (while you’re at it and you have like tonnes of money) but the post-shopping is painful.

My plan to rejuvenate myself physically and mentally plus replenishing my patience supply went down the drain.

I shall spare you the shopping detail because it involves a lot of walking and putting on shoes/blouses that doesn’t fit. But seriously, why is it so damn difficult to find a nice sized 9 – 10 working shoes? It seems that my feet “grew” bigger. I swear this is the truth. I used to wear size 8 – 9 and already I was having a hard time looking for shoes. Did they make the shoes smaller? Or did my feet really gained weight?

By the way, is it just me or did the Now Everyone Can Fly airlines increased their checked-in luggage from RM5 to RM10 without notice? When I checked in the other day, I was surprised when E***** (counter 3*) told me I have to pay RM10 for each luggage. I looked at her questioningly and asked her when was this new price was implemented. She casually said last week. I asked her again if it was announced in the newspaper or any where because I never heard of this new pricing. She didn’t even have the courtesy to look me in the face and she just shrugged her shoulders. Boleh?

If I weren’t sane or sensible I would have jumped over the counter and slap her silly.

I’m not pissed off about the money. It is that woman. She didn’t even bother to apologize for the inconvenience. I know it is not her fault but isn’t it the rule of thumb of customer service to be empathic and professional? She is one of the many bad customer services I’ve experienced with that airline. I guess with the lower air fare they can only hire this sort of people.

When you pay peanuts, you’ll get monkeys.

How true.
